In a surprising crossover event that defies traditional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Revealed
According to the authorized release, "A strange meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of forbidden rituals and monstrous transformations echo through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine group.
The questline concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Bonus Content
Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana alongside multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This release also brings the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "The Enigma."
